Town in Florida changes name to Miracle Whip

Miracle Whip — MSN is reporting that the town of Mayo in northern Florida temporarily changed it’s name to Miracle Whip. It was a publicity campaign by the Kraft Foods (KHC). A company spokesperson stated that they did it as part of the campaign to eradicate mayo from existence.

Mayor Ann Murphy read a declaration stating that the town “will henceforth be named as Miracle Whip.” The town received $25,000 to be used for beautification efforts in return.

Google even got in on the fun. If you search Google Maps for Miracle Whip it pops right up on the map about 65 miles northwest of Gainesville.
